Oh no! The rumor mill is churning. Word on the street, is that the coveted hipster/grunge girl brand, RVCA recently bought out by massive surfer fashion clothing company, Billabong will be ending it’s contract with model turned designer, Erin Wasson. What does this all mean? For starters, RVCA would lose most of it’s fan base. If the deals goes down as it expected it will be unlikely that her dedicated fans will continue to support the company. Erin Wasson bought culture and edge to the line and a flock of cult fashion followers who desire her carefree model appeal. That also means there will be no extravagant New York Fashion Week show. During Fall 2010 the designer held her show at ABC Carpet Furniture store (which I didn’t get to attend.) Aside from Marc Jacobs, Betsey Johnson, and a few others she’s known for having one of the best shows of the season. In perfect timing the company released these inspiring images from the look book.
Effn dope! They better do whatever it takes to save her.
