There it is. That excitement and surprise that was lacking during New York Fashion Week. I knew there had to be a reason why I wasn’t going crazy like everyone else. During the first day of London Fashion Week for Fall 2011, the designers showed up and showed out! First up and breaking the ice of Mundaneland was UK’s own Topshop Unique by Karen Bonser. The collection styled by Katie Grand was a full-fledged dog show and I loved it. The show went on to the music of classic Disney ice queen, Cruella de Ville. Never in a million years would I have thought to consider poppy dalmatian spots and school girl hair emulating puppy dog ears. I live for this message.Yes, it’s supposed to be wearable, but don’t take the personality out of it. I can’t wait to see how Alexa Chung, Daisey Lowe and the other cool Brits work this collection.
