Design by any means necessary. You could say this was the philosophy that pushed London-based fashion designer and new mother, Roksanda Ilincic forward while creating the Pre-Fall 2012 collection. When you’re trapped in a house surrounded by dirty diapers, baby food and Legos, how else could you be inspired? The latter just happened to be the sole source. The bright blues, yellows, and reds shades and the way each stacked up  was the method behind the silk column dresses, pants, peplum sleeves, and tri-colored heavy-duty trench coats. I know I ranted about the color-blocking trend, but this pre-fall collection just made me fall back in love with it. The way Roksanda Ilincic used the trend feels organic, where as ever where else it comes off as forced. There isn’t a piece I wouldn’t wear.
